In Airborne BMX, each ramp is a challenge of time, balance, and stunt control. Ride across difficult BMX tracks. Gain enough speed to do giant jumps. Do tricks in the air and land safely to finish each challenge and get better awards.
Airborne BMX is a BMX-based stunt game that’s fast-paced and built around BMX riding, airborne feats, and precision landings. Instead of merely completing a route, you need to fulfil certain challenges while guiding your rider through ramps, jumps, obstacles, and different terrain. If you generate speed at the proper moment, you can stay airborne longer, but if you move at the wrong moment, your rider can crash, and you have to start that ride over.
The game includes 15 riders, 15 BMX bikes, 6 themed worlds, and hundreds of increasingly challenging obstacles. Its single-player style keeps you focused on improving your own performance, mastering additional tricks, and converting individual acrobatics into amazing combinations.
You will need to become used to the controls, as all the acceleration, stunts in the air, and corrections while landing come in a small time span. While practicing, don’t forget these inputs:
Once you learn these controls, you can concentrate on timing and not memorise particular buttons.
The biggest error for novices is to view every jump as an opportunity to do as many tricks as possible. The truth is that a successful landing is worth more than a spectacular stunt that ends the run.
Use the spacebar to dial in the correct takeoff speed. Don’t wait until the last moment to add throttle, as your approach speed determines your airtime and where you land.
Once you are off the ramp, think about where the BMX is going to hit the ground. Perform your trick while in the air and then trim out the extraneous motion as you prepare for your landing.
This is particularly critical on later challenges because the landing space may be tight. A beautiful flip and a terrible landing is still an unsuccessful ride.
More advanced combinations can help to produce stronger performances, but require more control. Start with basic tricks and simple flips, and then move on to more sophisticated sequences.
Airborne BMX is an arcade BMX title that mixes BMX riding, airborne stunts, course challenges, and a medal-based progression system. Its major strength is the balance between the freedom in the air and the precision on the ground: there is a split second to complete a stunt before getting back to the track safely.
